Transforming Trade Printing with Adobe Commerce

4over, a leader in trade printing, faced significant challenges in modernizing their legacy application. Their internal team’s initial rebuild attempt resulted in negative customer feedback due to a high number of clicks and an inability to support complex products like Grand4Mat and large-size printing, Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM), and Direct Mail (DM). Subsequently, a software agency spent two years attempting to leverage Adobe Commerce but failed to deliver a functional e-commerce platform.Through an organic referral, 4over approached us to address their unique trade printing needs on the Adobe Commerce platform. We began with an initial code review and audit of their previous systems, both new and old. This was followed by extensive business consulting to guide a user journey that led to fewer clicks while maintaining a traditional e-commerce feel, appealing to their newer generation of printers.4over’s requirements included support for EDDM, DM, and products configurable by thousands of variations. Additionally, they needed multi-address shipping capabilities, allowing users to create multiple shipments with various sets of paper products customized for different individuals and destinations. In just 10 months, we delivered a highly customized Adobe Commerce solution from scratch. The new platform reduced the number of clicks to checkout, increased the conversion rate, and enabled 4over to deliver dynamic messaging to users based on their behavior. The client was extremely satisfied with the results, and we continue to support and grow their business since the successful launch.
